I’m speachless 🙂 I’ve seen a long long time ago someone making a radiosity engine in VOP. I’d imagine this has some of the same principles? More complex of course.
So, are you sampling vertex colors “pretending” to be pixels?
yep, each point on the grid traces rays out into the scene, and the results are stored in the color attribute for each grid point.
